Porto Sani Spa Resort
I visited Porto Sani Spa Resort Halkidiki in May this year, always wondered why it is so popular with our regular clients, now I know why!
The resort is located at Sani, which is on the Kassandra Peninsula of Halkidiki, Greece. The journey to Thessaloniki is very easy and the transfer from the airport to Sani is only about 40 minutes. I stayed at the Sani Beach Club, which is ideal for families, the hotel is part of the Porto Sani Spa Resort complex which is set around a fabulous marina with a shopping piazza, some really nice designer shops, a little out of my price range, but fun to look at! The marina is a great place to stroll around in the evening with an excellent choice of restaurants ranging from very upmarket fish restaurants to pizza and pasta! Plus some lovely bars to have a cocktail or two and watch the sunset.
The Beach Club has great facilities, an enormous outdoor pool, plus childrens pool, a childrens club and crèche and a wonderful spa, which is not outrageously priced! Plus in this resort you have a choice of the main restaurant or ‘Ouzerie’ a very authentic Greek Taverna, or of course you can visit the Marina, either on foot or via one of the complimentary mini buses running all the time around the resorts.
The rooms are spacious, set in bungalow style buildings on two levels, each room having a private terrace or balcony. For families with young children I would recommend the ground floor rooms as the terraces are ideal play areas ! The Beach is just a short stroll through the gardens, with lots of sunloungers and watersports can be arranged .
Although there are various excursions you can take around the area, I have to say once you reach the haven of the Sani resort, you will be reluctant to leave it!
