Aruba Hotels

During my recent trip to Aruba in the Dutch Caribbean I visited several hotels. Aruba Hotels are located mainly in two areas. The low rise properties at Eagle Beach and the high rise at Palm Beach. Here is a selection of my favourites:

Low Rise:

Manchebo Beach Resort & Spa – Located on the widest stretch of Eagle beach is an intimate 4* boutique resort featuring 72 deluxe rooms, for romantic and rejuvenating holidays. The hotel features a Caribbean-Balinese style spa, Spa del Sol, which offers a variety of massages and body treatments. Optional premium fully a-la-carte all-inclusive program is also available. Daily yoga & pilates at the pavilion on the beach including  a free introductory class for resort guests. Manchebo Beach is a Platinum-certified Green Globe resort.

Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort – is a charming 4* hotel with a distinctive Dutch Colonial feel. Situated across the road from Eagle Beach this resort has the feel of a small village, with guests able to self cater if they wish. This is a family friendly hotel with amenities including a kid’s pool and laundry facilities. The restaurant Passions on the Beach offers the most romantic dining experience in Aruba!

Bucuti and Tara Beach Resort – This 4* hotel is an adults only (18+) resort perfect for honeymooners or for a romantic getaway. The emphasis here is on tranquillity and wellness with its relaxing ambiance. The SandBar is Bucuti’s open-air bar on the beach, but you can also experience an intimate dining experience under a private cabana on the beach with fabulous ocean view and a romantic sunset or moonlit ambiance. Bucuti is another Platinum-certified Green Globe resort.

These were my favourite of the low rise resorts and while rated as 4* it is worth noting that to achieve a 5* status in Aruba the hotel has to have a casino. One of the ‘best luxury spots on the Caribbean island of Aruba’ Jim Dobson – Forbes.

High Rise:

Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort Spa & Casino – 4.5* beachfront hotel located on Palm Beach enjoys a chic atmosphere and Spanish influenced architecture. 357 guest rooms including 24 suites with either ocean or garden views. Perfect for meetings & events, weddings & honeymoons this is a huge hotel with all the amenities you could possibly need.  For kids there is Camp Hyatt, supervised care where your children will spend their days romping on the beach, creating crafts and learning about the history of Aruba.

Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino – Newly refurbished this 4.5* hotel is nestled on 15 acres of white sand and lush tropical gardens. The overhaul has a respectful nod to the original architect which blends his mid-century style with a contemporary and elegant beachfront flair. Pool decks with plenty of sunbeds, fabulous beachfront, Spa, Kids Club, playground and family friendly activities.
